Kevin De Bruyne Player Reviews

Manchester City's Kevin De Bruyne has become one of the most –if not THE MOST- impressive Premier League players in recent years. The 29 years old Belgium offensive midfielder has scored a total of 11 goals and 17 assists in 31 league games this season, skimming Thierry Henry's 2002/03 20 assists record while playing for the Arsenal. Currently established as a leading figure among the Premier, Kevin De Bruyne's career hasn't always been easy. Coming out from Belgium soccer, on January 30, 2012, Chelsea FC. signed Kevin but, left him on loan at Werder Bremen's until the end of the 2012/13 season.

Kevin De Bruyne Playing For Chelsea

On January 31, 2012, at the winter transfer's deadline day, the English Premier League club Chelsea announced the final signing of Kevin De Bruyne, for a fee of over 7 million Euros. He signed a contract linking him to Chelsea FC for five and a half years. However, he would continue to play for the Belgian team Genk until the 2011-12 campaign ended. Kevin De Bruyne began playing for the Blues in a friendly match against the MLS club Seattle Sounders. This occurred on July 18, 2012. After his time with Chelsea, he was sold to Bundesliga's Wolfsburg in exchange for a 20 million. His sold's reason was the few opportunities he received during the season.

After all, this was the best for Kevin De Bruyne's career. He was finally able to show his talent. After a great season with Wolfsburg, he earned the title of Germany's Footballer of the Year. Through an impressive 75,5 million Euros transfer, Manchester City seized the services of the Belgian player in mid-2015. This was one of the most expensive contracts in football history. Currently, he is the second-highest-paid Premier League player (19,7 million euros), right after Manchester United's David De Gea (23 million).

Belgium National Team coach, Spanish Roberto Martinez, considers Kevin De Bruyne as Premier League's best player. "I see all of Kevin's games. I saw the game against Liverpool, and it was very clear to me. It is true that Liverpool has the best team this season and that the 'Reds' are fair champions. But, you have to admit that Kevin De Bruyne is the best player in the Premier League", Martinez told Amazon Prime.

"The way he influences the game is incredible…he can get evolve in different positions and adapts perfectly," added Martinez. This coach spent most of his career, including his stage as a player, within the UK. Kevin De Bruyne is an offensive midfielder with exquisite individual technique and an extraordinary vision of the game. He arrives at the area with some frequency and, although he is cold-blooded in front of the rival's goalkeeper, he must improve in the definition. However, his lack of goal is balanced by his creativity. He can decide a game with a quick genius move, sending a masterful pass when there seemed to be no room for it.

So far. Kevin de Bruyne has accomplished what he had been chasing for years: to become one of the best soccer players in the world.
